Promotions at Kemin’s pet food ingredient division

Jerry May (photo) is the new managing director and senior vice president of the Europe and Asia Pacific regions at Kemin’s pet food ingredient division. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to strengthen the growth of the company. Furthermore, he will manage regional commercial teams, monitor workflow and staff performance, and oversee day-to-day operations. May joined Kemin in 2011 as the senior vice president of regulatory and quality affairs. Prior to joining Kemin, he was the associate director of product safety and regulatory affairs for Proctor & Gamble (P&G). While at P&G, May served as co-chair of the International Trade Subcommittee and chair of the Food Safety Committee for the Pet Food Institute (PFI). He also served on the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) board of directors. Additionally, Daniele Abrate has been promoted to senior commercial manager for Europe. In this new role, he will be responsible for developing strategic marketing and sales plans to support existing and new business, as well as supervising regional sales managers. Abrate joined Kemin in 2006 as regional sales manager for south-eastern Europe.
