Lost worlds in the terrariumThe German company Fackert Aqua & Terra Dekodesign offers a combination/expansion system of relief panels for decorating the back wall and sides of the terrarium. The "Wall fragment" relief motifs of lost worlds, which come in a stone grey or sand beige colour, can be used as tropical "Inca" or "Mayan" backdrops or as an "ancient Egypt" backdrop in desert-type terrariums. The solid-cast relief panels can be glued in individual arrangements onto a cork tile, inserted for decorative purposes into an existing rear wall (e.g. stone/rock impression) or also used as a single rear wall panel in a small terrarium. The latest stone structure relief motif is a striking Tyrannosaurus rex.www.at-fackert.deThermometer for the terrariumThe new "Reptitem Digital Infrared Thermometer" is a small pocket-sized thermometer from the American company Zoo Med that instantly measures terrarium temperatures at the click of a button. The thermometer can be set to read temperatures in both Fahrenheit (-28° to 230°F) and Celsius (-33° to 110°C). There is also a Min/Max function that permits monitoring of the variations in the terrarium over time.www.zoomed.euHealthy reptile foodsTwo new foods have been added to the reptile range of Tetra. The metal halide lamps form a new generation of lighting that is intended to replace these three technical products, says the company. Unlike pure heat lamps, the visible light is associated in nature with heat, as in sunbathing, according to JBL. The new "L-U-W" sun lamp comes in two variants. The…
