In all eleven countries in which the group operates, it has reduced the price of 300 branded products on a long-term basis under the campaign slogan "Was Tiere lieben gibt's bei uns" ("We stock what pets love") with the addition "now at even lower prices".
The campaign is being rolled out in all participating stationary stores (around 1 500 outlets) and the group's online shop (currently in Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg). Plans are in hand to run the campaign across Europe until at least April 2018. The campaign is being realised in a 360 degree communications approach with a heart enclosing the products. TV ads form the focus along with the mission statement.
The adverts show two pets interacting with one another and using products from the Fressnapf range. The communications mix includes radio ads, print ads, social media advertising, leaflets, newsletters, online banners and landing pages.
