Handtmann acquires Verbufa

Handtmann Maschinenfabrik, a manufacturer of filling and portioning machinery, acquired the Verbufa company, based in Amersfoort (Netherlands), on 1 April.
Verbufa was established in 1952 and employs around 40 people. For more than 55 years it has been the exclusive Handtmann distribution partner in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
"The integration of Verbufa into our corporate group is an important strategic building block for positioning our company even more strongly in international competition," Thomas Handtmann, managing partner of the family firm, is quoted as saying.
