Production at the Bosch Pet Food site in Blaufelden-Wiesenbach is now climate-neutral. The CO2 caused by the consumption of electricity and natural gas will be offset by supporting a climate protection project, the company announced. To this end, Bosch Pet Food is working with the German non-profit association Primaklima, which is committed to preserving and increasing the area of forests. Specifically, the company is supporting the protection of a primary forest on the island of Borneo in Indonesia, which was threatened by clearing for the paper industry.
Last year, Bosch Pet Food was certified by the German Institute for Sustainability and Economy. In addition, since the beginning of this year, the company has been using only hydroelectric power and sends every parcel as part of the climate-friendly and CO2-neutral DHL "GoGreen" parcel service.
