News | and dog food in the spotlight

The new PET worldwide

The first has been staged without any major slip-ups and was well received as a platform for the pet supplies sector in the coronavirus age. The digital edition could not and should not be a substitute for the physical Interzoo show, however. Everyone is hoping for a speedy return to normality, meaning in our case a live Interzoo next year.

Another key topic in the latest magazine issue is dog food. It is a segment exhibiting a noticeable growth trend and is probably the most important element of the international pet supplies trade.

Other subjects in PET worldwide 3/2021 include:

· The coronavirus pandemic has caused significant disruption to the global market for pet food ingredients and raw materials.

· The Italian pet market exceeded 2.2 bn euros in 2020. Italian households are home to more than 60 mio pets.

· The US pet product industry recorded sales worth over 100 bn dollars in 2020.
