Spectrum Brands has announced its takeover of Armitage Pet Care. Based in Nottingham, Great Britain, Armitage was established back in the 18th century as a food and retail business. The company is regarded as one of the leading suppliers of treats, toys and seasonal pet products in Great Britain, retailing the four brands Good Boy, Meowee!, Wildbird and Wafcol.
"The acquisition of Armitage complements our existing portfolio and will create synergies with our current dog and cat food assortment," Spectrum Brands commented in its press release.
