Pets at Home has reported a positive trend in its business for the 52-week period up to 28 March 2019. The outcome of the financial year exceeded the company's expectations and retail sales returned to profitability sooner than anticipated. "The growth in the pet supplies market remains robust and we are participating in all the key areas, both online and offline," was the message in Pets at Home's press release.According to this, the retail business grew by 5.1 per cent on a comparable store area (LFL). Omnichannel sales increased by 43 per cent to £ 73.5 mio. "We are confident going into the coming year and enter the new financial year on the basis of higher sales and profit than previously expected," concluded the press release.
