New player in the retail landscape

Dennis Neumayer established Tierreich GmbH at the end of July. His aim is to open his first speciality store at the beginning of October in a shopping centre in Vienna's 21st district. In an interview with PET worldwide, the experienced retailer said that he intended to plug the gap in the Austrian retail landscape created by the disappearance of the Tierkönig and Tomys Zoo pet supplies chains.He considers the opening of further stores a possibility, but prefers to opt for slow, steady growth. While the first store will have a retail area of approx. 150 m² and two to three employees, Dennis Neumayer regards stores of 150 to 300 m² as perfect for his concept.Offering a delivery service covering the whole of Vienna, a market stall, canine delicacies, monthly subscriptions and other services, Dennis Neumayer intends to provide his customers with a unique level of service.
