Neil Padron dies at the age of 74

Neil Padron, owner and founder of Petland Discounts, has passed away at the age of 74. He was the pioneer of the largest privately owned pet store chain in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

At its peak the chain operated up to 11 stores. Petland Discounts began in September 1965 when Neil Padron opened up his first store in Queens.
