On 31 August, the programme of the Interzoo Academy, as it is called, was launched. It regards it as its mission to highlight trends, challenges and market developments in the pet supplies business in its online posts. The first post was a contribution by market research company Euromonitor International about developments in the Chinese pet supplies market. Miranda Zhou describes the changes in the pet population during the pandemic and focuses on product trends in food and accessories for dogs and cats.On 14 September, a web seminar is scheduled that looks at the influence of the pandemic on the Italian and German pet market. Pascale Sonico, show office manager and responsible for international sales at Zoomark International, and Dr Rowena Arzt, head of the fairs division for Interzoo organiser WZF and head of the Interzoo Academy, will report on the situation in the two countries since the coronavirus pandemic broke out and describe its effect on living with pets. From 28 September the results of the WZF's second sustainability study, produced in cooperation with the Antwerp Management School (AMS), will be presented. Another market analysis by Euromonitor International of the pet market in Western Europe then follows at the start of October. In the new year, a corporate coach will speak about digitalisation and its consequences.
