Fressnapf Group reorganises its management team

Christian Kümmel will become new managing director of the Fressnapf Group on 1 January.

From 1 January, Christian Kümmel, currently senior vice-president of corporate controlling & development, will assume responsibility together with Dr Johannes Steegmann for the overall management and operating business of the Fressnapf Group. Kümmel succeeds Dr Hans-Jörg Gidlewitz, who is leaving the corporate group at his own request.

Dr Hans-Jörg Gidlewitz has been managing director of the Fressnapf Group since March 2015 and is currently responsible for the areas of corporate controlling & development, sales international/expansion, legal & compliance, audit, tax, product offer and supply chain management & logistics. "I am greatly looking forward to a new chapter in my life and my declared plan is not to have any plans in the first instance," says Gidlewitz.

The business segments of the two directors are also being reorganised with effect from January. Dr Johannes Steegmann will look after customer experience (Dr Matthias Bauer), ecosystem services (Dr Jens Pippig), national distribution (Jochen Huppert), international distribution (Norbert Marschallinger), product offer (Heiko Bücker), IT & processes (Benjamin Beinroth), legal & compliance (Dr Christoph Haag) and corporate relations (Ina Skarabis). Christian Kümmel will be responsible for the business units of people (Jens Berger), supply chain & logistics (Daniel Behlert), shared services & treasury (Holger Winterfeld), data centre (Pascal Janus), finance business partnering, corporate strategy & organisational development (Sonja Dunkel), finance excellence (Christian Koch), corporate programme office (Nick Horstmann), audit (Knut Tondera) and tax (Benedikt Fischer).
