Clemens Bauer succeeds Johannes Steegmann

Clemens Bauer will take charge of the marketing division at Rewe.

Clemens Bauer, seen here at the Heimtier-Kongress in Cologne, is joining the management of the Rewe Group.

Dr Johannes Steegmann, head of marketing at Rewe, will join the Fressnapf management team on 1 August (as reported by petworldwide.net). His successor at Rewe will be Clemens Bauer, managing director of Rewe subsidiary Zoo Royal, who will take up his appointment on 1 July. The news was reported in the online issue of a German marketing magazine, which interprets this as an indication that Fressnapf boss Torsten Toeller coordinated Dr Steegmann's move personally with Rewe CEO Lionel Souque.

Clemens Bauer will take charge of the marketing division at Rewe and report to Peter Maly, Rewe board member in charge of marketing.
