Around 170 participants from manufacturing, retail and service companies in eight countries attended the German Pet Conference in Hamburg. At the conference, entitled "Gaining, retaining and inspiring customers", a wealth of advice and information was imparted on how to interact successfully and effectively with customers in the digital age.
At the conference, the pet Best Newcomer Award was also presented for the first time and went to the pet food manufacturer Tales & Tails. The company, established by Cathrin Hansen, Kaja Ringert and Stella Mohr, specialises in soft food and dog treats made from fish. In the poll of readers of the pet trade magazine, users of the online platform petonline and delegates at the conference, Tales & Tails prevailed against competition from four other companies nominated for the award.
The German Pet Conference takes place every two years, alternating with the International Pet Conference. The latter will next be staged on 14 and 15 October 2020 in Bologna, Italy.
