With effect from 15 November, the German company Pets Nature will assume exclusive responsibility for distribution of the Orijen and Acana brands of Canadian pet food manufacturer Champion Petfoods in Germany and Austria. The collaboration covers the entire dry food and treat range of both brands of dog and cat food, according to Pets Nature.
In connection with this, David Bäuerle will take charge of purchasing, customer service, logistics and IT with effect from 1 January. Dennis Vidal is moving to head the sales, marketing and R&D units. He joined the company in 2019 and was previously sales manager for the German-speaking countries. Dennis Vidal aims to raise the profile of Orijen and Acana with bricks-and-mortar retailers. He will be supported in this venture by a European sales and marketing team from Champion Petfoods that is based in Amsterdam. This will focus on the major markets of Germany, France and the UK, then expanding to Italy, Spain, Portugal and Poland.
