310 mio CHF for new pet food factory in the USA

Nestlé Purina Petcare plans to build another pet food factory in the USA. The plant is to be constructed in Hartwell in the state of Georgia and will become the 21st Nestlé plant in the USA. It is expected that 240 new jobs will be created by the new factory in the next five years.

The company intends to invest 310 mio CHF by 2023 in the pet food plant, which will also include a distribution centre. Operation of the distribution centre is likely to commence in 2018, according to Nestlé 2018, while pet food production should start up in 2019.
