114 winners from 38 countries

Kiwoko of Spain was recognised in the Pet Store Chain National category.

Over 1 000 brands from 38 countries were nominated for the World Branding Awards Animalis Edition. 95 000 consumers worldwide participated in the voting, with awards going to 114 brands from the 38 countries.

From the Netherlands, Beaphar and Boxby were among the winners, along with the airline KLM and Utrecht University. Eheim, Moser, Frontline, Juwel Aquarium and Vitakraft were recognised as brands of the year from Germany. Other winners included the Fluval and Exo Terra brands belonging to Hagen (Canada), Vafo's Brit (Czech Republic) and Royal Canin from France.

Store chains also received awards, including the Spanish chain Kiwoko, Global Pet Foods of Canada, Musti ja Mirri in Finland and Arken Zoo in Sweden.

The awards presentation took place on 3 July in Vienna and was hosted by Stuart Freeman of Radio FM4 Austria.
