Prins Petfoods likes to make responsible choices for the well-being of people, animals and the environment.
The power of pressed kibble: “We are extra proud of our 100 per cent natural pressed kibble,” states the company. Since all nutrients are packed with no air into the pellets, pressed kibble takes up less space. The company can use the same size packaging for 15 kilos of pressed food that can be used for 10 kilos of extruded food. 3 kilos of pressed kibble will fit into a 2-kilo bag of extruded food, thus saving approximately 30 per cent of packaging materials.
Less energy and transport: due to the low temperatures that are used in producing pressed pellets, Prins Petfood saves energy compared to producing extruded food. On top of that, more kilos of pressed food fit onto one pallet, which decreases the amount of transport required. “In this way, as a Dutch family company founded in 1963, we hope to pass on a better world to the next generations,” the company underlines.
