Animal welfare centre

Prins Plaza scheduled to open by mid-2021

14.05.2020

The Dutch pet food supplier Prins Petfoods is building a large animal welfare centre under the name Prins Plaza in Lelystad in the Netherlands. The facility aims to serve as an example and new standard for the entire pet industry.
The company laid the foundations to realise this project with its recent takeover of the Martin Gaus Academy and the Martin Gaus pet hotel in Lelystad.
Prins Plaza will not only offer education and good animal care, but will also become a meeting centre where people hoping to access the job market will have the opportunity to develop their qualities and where elderly people can continue to enjoy animals, stresses Prins Petfoods.
The centre will accommodate various forms of animal shelter and several health, well-being, community and education facilities. Some examples are a medical animal hotel with rehabilitation centre, a sniffing garden for dogs, a dog and cat café and a social education centre. The current Martin Gaus pet hotel will undergo a phased renovation for this. Prins Plaza is scheduled to open by mid-2021.
