Animalhealth Europe and Fediaf bring pet owners together

Animalhealth Europe and Fediaf have invited pet owners from all over Europe to a virtual meeting on 1 October at 2-3pm. "They will tell their stories of the positive role pets play in society, how they helped us through lockdown, the importance of responsible care of our pets, and more," say the organisers. The Telegraph's Brussels correspondent James Crisp will moderate the discussion.
The panel of experts consists of MEP Petras Auštrevičius, who will share views about the positive role pets play in society and the importance of better care for pets, IAHAIO President Dr Marie-José Enders-Slegers, who will talk about Human-Animal bond research, and the need for the relationship to be a two-way street, Medical Detection Dogs CEO Dr Claire Guest, who will speak about the power of dogs to detect human diseases and the COVID-19 Detection Dogs, and EU Dog and Cat Alliance chair Suzie Carley, who will talk about responsible pet ownership, why 'A dog is for life, not just for lockdown' and EU policy for pets.
