Plaček Group opens its 250th store

On 26 August the Czechia-based Plaček Group has opened its store no. 250. The outlet with a sales area of 200 m2 is placed in the Czech town Jablunkov and represents the first of Super Zoo's fourth generation.
The Plaček Group operates pet shops in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania under the brand name Super Zoo. In Poland the retailer operates pet shops under the brand name Kakadu and in Latvia and Russia under the brand name Dino Zoo. Next week there will be opened another new store, which will be the 100th store just in the Czech Republic.
Dušan Plaček, owner of the Plaček Group, comments:  "I am very happy that we managed to open our 250th pet store in Jablunkov. This town is located just on the border of three countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, which are our key markets in the retail business. This location is really symbolic for us. The pet store in Jablunkov is also a pilot project for our group, because we want to test a new concept for outlets around 200 m2, suitable for cities with less than 10 000 inhabitants."
The Plaček Group will open still twelve new stores by the end of 2020. The plans for 2021 are even more ambitious with 40 new openings. The group aims to target the opening of the 300th pet store in 2021.
