2021 is to become an Interzoo-year. After the world's leading exhibition had to be postponed this year because of the coronavirus, the organizers now want to get off to a flying start next year. Zoomark International will then be held in 2022.
The organizers of the two international trade fairs Interzoo and Zoomark International have agreed to postpone their events until next year. That means Interzoo will be held from 1 to 4 June 2021 and Zoomark International from 9 to 12 May 2022.
Dr. Rowena Arzt, Head of Exhibitions at WZF, explains: "After a global crisis, global exhibitions are important for sending a positive signal to the market. And Norbert Holthenrich, President of the German Pet Trade & Industry Association (ZZF), the honorary sponsor of Interzoo, adds: "As an association and exhibition organizer it is our responsibility to support the industry in its economic recovery after a crisis has been overcome. We are confident that the postponement of both exhibitions by one year each will bring significant advantages for the entire industry".
"The Covid 19 crisis requires a fundamental change in the international trade fair calendars," says Antonio Bruzzone, General Manager of the BolognaFiere. "More than ever before, trade fair organisers are working together with institutions, companies and associations to provide the business world with new tools and the support it needs to get its business back on track".
By postponing their fairs by one year each, WZF and BolognaFiere want to support the pet industry to the best of their ability. Both companies hope that these special measures will help to keep the economic damage to exhibitors and the industry as low as possible in these difficult times.
