According to a report on the British website Pet Business World, Mars Petcare is planning to make a million-pound investment in developing the Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition. Subject to obtaining planning permission, the facility should be up and running by the end of 2021.
The research facility will also be renamed the Waltham Petcare Science Institute, states the website, quoting a regional news service. The change of name is intended to reflect the breadth of research undertaken, according to a leading staff member there.
