Itch, a new pet care brand, has been launched following a 5.6-mio-pound investment, with a further 11 mio investment planned for late 2019 to support expansion.
The flea treatment subscription service was launched by the co-founder of the sleep tech start-up Simba. Developed in collaboration with veterinary experts in response to increasing demand for better personalised pet care, the tailored monthly flea subscription service makes preventing infestation and treating pets much quicker, cheaper, and more convenient for busy owners than buying over the counter.
Based in Leeds (UK), the new start-up has raised an initial 5.6 mio pounds from Seedcamp, Nigel Wray, and YYX Capital among others, with a further injection of 11 mio expected for Q4 2019 to support the brand roll-out to the US in Q1 2020.
