New market segment

Ben & Jerry's ice cream for dogs

19.01.2021

The ice cream manufacturer Ben & Jerry's, a subsidiary of Unilever, now wants to offer ice cream for dogs. The Doggie Desserts brand is expected to go on sale at the end of January, but for the time being only in the USA.
To start with, there will be Pontch's Mix with peanut butter and salt-free pretzels and Rosie's Batch with pumpkin and mini biscuits. The rest of the ingredients are identical to those used for the vegan varieties of the company, according to press reports, which is why Doggie Desserts would also be edible for humans.
