As part of the Trixie Ventures initiative, Trixie has entered into cooperation with the start-up company Pezz. Since 1 May, Trixie, which is based in northern Germany, has been marketing worm and urine tests for cats and dogs that are produced by the Austrian newcomer.

Pezz was established in Vienna by Markus Zengerer in 2017. Led by veterinarian Dr Janina Rauch, its team of in-house experts in the fields of artificial intelligence and diagnostics research innovative solutions for pet screening tests that can be used at home.

“We enable pet owners to act independently on the basis of objective data and clear recommendations. Our mission is to advance the health and wellbeing of pets in the long term and to improve their quality of life. The process is simple, affordable and stress-free,” says Zengerer, speaking about the company’s objectives.

Consumers are able to carry out a worm and urine test themselves with the aid of test kits and the free Pezz app. The results can be retrieved in a short time. Trixie states that its collaboration with Pezz brings international sales and marketing experience together with pet tech innovation.
