Innovation rankings

USA no longer in the top ten

29.01.2018

The USA is no longer included in the list of the ten most innovative countries. This has emerged from the innovations rankings of the New York media firm Bloomberg.
While South Korea has been the undisputed champion of innovation for six years, the United States has now dropped to number eleven. Sweden has retained its second place from 2016, followed by Singapore, Germany and Switzerland. Ranked in sixth to tenth place are Japan, Finland, Denmark, France and Israel.
Bloomberg believes that one reason for the USA's poor performance is a decline in industry and services. No improvement is discernible on the horizon, according to American economic experts.
